How do I enter the Looking for Lucy competition?
All entries are to be submitted via this website - simply click the "Enter this competition" button above!

How does the Looking for Lucy competition work?
Our Looking for Lucy competition is split into eight "competition periods", giving you eight chances to win! Each competition period runs for a fortnight, with each period commencing immediately after the previous one has finished. This means you can enter the competition at any time and your entry will be valid.

The winner of each competition period will be the person whose guess is closest to Lucy's actual whereabouts at the end of that period.

And what about the Invite your Friends Grand Prize Draw?
The Invite your Friends Grand Prize Draw is open for the entire duration of the Looking for Lucy competition, and it works like this: for each friend you invite to our Looking for Lucy competition, we'll give you one entry into the Grand Prize Draw.

The Grand Prize will be randomly drawn at the end of the Looking for Lucy competition, and the more friends you invite, the better your chances of winning!

Sounds good, so what do I win?
All up, there's over $5000 worth of prizes to be won! The winners of the eight Looking for Lucy competition periods will each win two nights accommodation at Eco Beach plus a turtle tour for two people.

The winner of the Grand Prize will get return airfares to Broome from Perth, return transfers to Eco Beach, three nights accommodation at Eco Beach plus a turtle tour for two people.

Fair enough, but how am I going to guess where Lucy is?
There's no definite way to predict where Lucy is going to be, however, Lucy's last known location will be supplied at the commencement of each competition period, so you'll have some idea of where she's recently been, how fast she's been going, and maybe even where she might go next!

Remember, although sea turtles have been reported swimming in bursts of speed up to 48km per hour, it is likely that the turtles moving in this project are swimming at average speeds of 6-8 km per hour. That is the equivalent to a fast walking pace for a human. Of course, now that Lucy has finished nesting, she will be stopping along the way to feed!

Cool! So I should start packing my suitcase now, right?
Not quite! Because the turtle season at Eco Beach runs from October - December, that's when you'll have to redeem your prize. Prizes can be redeemed from 1st October, 2010 - 21st December, 2010.

That makes sense. But I'll hear whether I've won before then, won't I?
You sure will! The winner of each competition period will be announced 3 days after the period has finished. The winner's name will be published on our website, and you will also be notified by email.

Can I enter more than once?
For our Looking for Lucy competition, you can enter only ONCE in each competition period. So make sure your guess is a good one!

For our Invite your Friends Grand Prize Draw, the more friends you invite, the more entries you get into the draw.

I've still got a question, but I can't help noticing we're at the end of the page . . .
Not to worry, you can send your enquiry through to kristy@ecobeach.com and we'll get back to you as soon as possible!
